Evening Walk in Stockbridge, Edinburgh

Today was the first day that I have ever worked from home. I don't feel as though one day was enough for me to form an entire opinion but one thing I was certain about was that I needed to move my body.

Normally I walk roughly 30-40 minutes a day simply by walking to and from work. This was something I dreaded when I first moved flat in December because of all of storms but now, as it's getting lighter, it has become a part of my day that I enjoy (when I'm not running late). During my ideal morning I can take my time walking and the sun is shining directly on me whilst I listen to music. So far these mornings have still been few and far between but I'm hopeful for summer.

The evenings have also started to look prettier and having sat inside all day I decided to venture out. I realised there was so much of my area that I haven't explored. When I know every tiny alleyway is when I start to feel at home somewhere.

My boyfriend and I are also starting to run, as I think many others are now that all of the gyms have had to close. We are using the app, Couch to 5k, which really pushes us. It is also great, as it is 3 times a week for 9 weeks so hopefully towards the end of this quarantine we will have learnt to run 5k.

I really don't want to gain any weight whilst working from home. I have come to terms with the fact that I will lose a lot of strength and muscle by not being able to train at the gym. I had a look online for some dumbbells and every single website is completely sold out. I suppose almost every person that does weight training will have thought to order their own weights, I was just a little too late!
