QUICK AND EASY PIZZA RECIPE

Today I thought I would share this super quick and easy pizza recipe. This is perfect if you are looking to have a slightly healthier pizza, without wanting to spend lots of time and money. It has so few ingredients, which you are likely to already have at home. Plus it tastes and smells amazing. It is also delicious the next day. 



Ingredients: 

  • 300g plain flour 
  • 300g natural yogurt 
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 400g tomato passata or tomato puree 
  • Your choice of cheese, I used mozzarella and a bit of grated cheddar over the top;
  • Toppings - anything you like, you can use cherry tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn, just whatever you have. 
  • black pepper and 1 chopped garlic clove. 
You'll also need some baking paper, a baking tray and a rolling pin (I had to use a water bottle because I didn't have rolling pin). 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a baking tray with baking / grease proof paper. 

2. Mix together the flour, baking powder and yoghurt in a bowl until you have dough. Add a bit more flour if it is too sticky. Then use a rolling pin to role out the dough to the size of your baking tray. Feel free to make two if there is too much dough.

3. Place the base in the oven for 3-4 minutes then take it out and flip it over. 

3. Cook the passata in a pan with the chopped garlic and add some black pepper.

4. Spread the passata mixture on the slightly cooked base and add any toppings of your choice. 

5. feel free to drizzle with olive oil, add some more black pepper and cheese and return to the oven for a further 15 minutes.  

There you go, a super simple and healthy pizza, I hope you enjoy!
